Hi everyone,

I'm a very confused bruin. Anyone please help?

My orientation is scheduled in August 17, which is the last session. I've checked the classes online and most of them are full/closed and about to be closed. I'm really nervous. Would there be any class that I'm able to add after my orientation?

How many days do I have to stay at the orientation?

How do I know my room number? And roommates? I went on MyHousing page and they said the information will not be available until late August.

What about the student loan stuff? I've applied to CitiBank but haven't heard anything from them yet, it's been a month. Do I have to get the loan before the school starts? What if they don't approve my loan?

Every comment counts. I'll be very appreciate your help.

Sincerely,

They usually keep some sections closed for the later orientation sessions. I’m sure things will open up as you approach your orientation and you’ll get the classes you need.

Orientation is 3 days, if I remember correctly. It is fun so stay the whole time.

You get your room number and roommates in late August.

I can’t help you on the loans, sorry…

Yeah, they leave some spots open for classes, but I really doubt you’ll get the ones you want… You’ll probably be stuck with either classes you don’t want or bad teachers… Like I’m sure you can’t enroll into most easy GEs…but core classes like eng and math and science you should be be able to enroll in … hopefully…
And of course there will be classes you will be able to add after orientation…
But after my orientation, most classes I wanted were full and I was in orientation 101 >>
Three day orientation
Rooming… If the site says late aug then you should wait till late aug -- why must you ask lol
loans… dude check your efan… They updated it yesterday (or on friday… totally lost track of time)

^ english you probably will not get. you will most likely be able to get into the large lecture hall classes and maybe the odd end ge’s that nobody wants.

chrisxluna what you need to do is keep track of all the orientation dates. for all the third/last dates when new people can start registering during their respective orientation section, some of the blocks will be lifted and you can register too. you’ll beat out the majority of the people attending orientation as well since a lot will be waiting in line to register so just make sure you wake up that day and stay on top of the timing

Thank you everyone, very very much for taking time answering :)
