<p>I am admitted to Rochester and received financial aid totaling $35,000
I think I would be attending Rochester in fall since I can afford it
But my mom told me that she heard from other people that many private schools often give enough financial aid only to freshman and they reduce the amount of financial aid as students go into their second, and third year.
Is that true at U of Rochester that amount of financial aid would decrease each year?
Next year, our family income might decrease and two years from now, my younger sister (who's an international student) would be going to college. So the family EFC would decrease...and my family obviously can't pay more than we can right now...:(</p>
<p>As far as I am aware, that's not true. Rochester wants to keep its students until they graduate (and sometimes longer - see the Take 5 program). If you're really concerned, talk to the Financial Aid office.</p>
<p>Thats exactly how much I got, but still don't know if i can afford it since its 15k year. i'm trying to get scholarships...</p>
