About Gap year when applying to universities!

Hello everyone!
I would like to open this threat to ask and collect your opinions to help me make true decisions.
How do you think about taking gap-year? I wonder how long a student can take gap to apply colleges. Do most colleges and universities in the USA accept students with a large gap or not? (may be gap 2 or 3 or 4 years?)

Thank you so much. :D

Many do, as there are many non-traditional students who are returning to school after several years of work or military service after high school. Many of these students start at community colleges, which accept just about anybody. Of course, those seeking bachelor’s degrees need to transfer to a four year school or start at a four year school to do so.

If you think you will be “shut out” of college admissions, what I remember is that most students who had that happen just went to community college. Some of them reappeared two years later at the state universities (including the flagship) to complete their bachelor’s degrees.
