about IELTS

i am a newbie here from China
and i got a few questions about english proficiency
since most american uni/colleges require international appicants to take TOEFL as proof of their english proficiency, how many chances i got if i have only had IELTS score(overall 7,reading 8.5,listening 6.5,writing 7.speaking 6)?

p.s:before i made up my mind to further my education in U.S.A after i graduate from senior high school of China, Australia was my first choice. Thus i took IELTS which was a STANDARDRiZED test of australian uni.But for some personal reasons, i changed my mind then.I am currently a 12-year student, thus i dont have spare time to prepare for taking TOEFL!!!I have to fly to Hong Kong this Nov.for SAT I.I should concentrate on it.
anyway, about 800 uni of USA now accept IELTS score .BUT it doesnt mean they can ALL SUBSTITUDE TOEFL!!!>_<
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
COULD ANYONE GIVE MY SOME ADVICE?

Many US schools now accept the IELTS, and If a school accepts the IELTS, of course it substitutes the TOEFL......... And with a score of 7, you shouldn't worry....

thx for ur info.very helpful and inspiring!
