<p>Engineering has the highest mid-career salary of any undergraduate degree (including finance). However, some career tracks (that accept undergrads) still pay better than Engineering - like investment banking. Engineering doesn’t preclude one from doing investment banking. School choice precludes one from doing investment banking.</p>
<p>Regardless, for the vast majority of college applicants, engineering is probably the best choice. Even at the highest level, engineering is not a bad choice, it just isn’t as good.</p>
