this site to activate my account. But the username seems to be automatically chosen which I do not like very much. Are there ways I can change the username??</p>
<p>nope you are stuck with it. My roommate's last name is moon and they shortened it to moo lol.</p>
<p>BUT you can also write out your full name instead for your email if you don't like the username they chose for you, like <a href="mailto:firstname.lastname@usc.edu">firstname.lastname@usc.edu</a></p>

<p>You don't actually have to change anything to get the firstname.lastname @usc.edu email address, I think. That one is automatically assigned to you. (I think...)</p>
<p>Yeah you don't have to do anything to change your email address. It works both ways.. like mine..</p>

<p>I tried that it does work! Both the USC-assigned and <a href="mailto:firstname.lastname@usc.edu">firstname.lastname@usc.edu</a> work. However, you must log-in with the USC-assigned account name.</p>
<p>I just tried it out and it worked for me as well.</p>
<p>Doesn't work for me :( How do you do it if the email is already pre-assigned? My last name is 12 letters long so my USC email is the first 7 letters of my last name - which sucks because it doesn't even make sense. </p>
<p>Why can't we make our own. Other school have it like that...</p>
