Hello. I’m community college student and I will apply this fall. I’m taking Electrical Engineering class in UC Berkeley in Summer, but this class is super hard for me. Almost everyone already took classes which is crucial for this class. I didn’t know that, but after instructor taught about circuit, he just skipped basic concepts like linear algebra and python. I thought this class would be fun because I would like to learn circuit like touch screen or change imaging. However, class is super fast and I don’t actually understand although I think I did hard work. So, I wanted to drop, but the deadline is already over, and only one option remain which is Pass/None Pass. I searched google and I understand what is P/NP, but I am wondering is this affects to my application? I heard require/recommend class should get a letter grade. Based on assist.org, to UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences major from my college, EE class is recommend class, but not require.
- Is that mean I can get NP and retake the class after if I get into Berkeley? Since if I get pass, I heard I cannot graduate because it is lower division class.
- So, if I get NP, does it affect to my application weaker?
- I’m also wondering that do I need put this class’ grade to my application? Since I’m one community college student, so I think they don’t care other colleges’ grade.
- This class is for only UC Berkeley, so if I get NP, does other UC campuses admission care about this class?
Thank you so much who answer those lots questions.
