I'm 5'0" and I've learned to live with it. (I'm 58 years old.) I die my hair to eliminate the gray and I've learned to live with it. I have really small feet and it's a pain to find shoes that fit but I've learned to live with it.

I don't have any terrible diseases. I am of above-average intelligence. My children have 10 fingers and 10 toes, normal hearing and vision. Life is good.

Check out some TLC television programs about people with REAL problems (did you see the 16-year-old conjoined twin girls a week or so ago??).

Being on the smaller side of the human spectrum ain't so bad.

i'm 5'0" as well. it gets frustrating sometimes when you feel crushed by the sea of tall people. lol.

but i echo what others have said, if you don't really mention it all that often, the issue doesn't come up. many times people have told me that they thought i was taller. lol. but of course, it's only the heels. :P

I'd say your worries are trivial, at best. Don't worry about how short you are; that's irrelevant to everything else. Besides, you don't want to be very tall. I'm 5'7.5''. Pants are always too short, so I get that whole "perpetual flood" look.

people should be glad they have legs and arms and can walk and do normal things. Other people are not as fortunate and sometimes lack even these simple things. I always wonder if an extremely awful accident or disease have to occur in order to make people appreciate what they have. I guess we all try to achieve toward an assumed "perfection" and go with the crowd so much and so often that it has become just a habit we never put much thought into.

I'm 5'6" and I wear like 3-4 inch heels everyday because I love heels. BUt I think short girls are absolutely adorable. My best friend is about 5'1" and she looks so cute in her bob-cut auburn hair and she usually wears ballet flats and leggings and miniskirts and these buttoned-down cardigans and such. see if i wore that, i'd look stupid. Love yourself for who you are. and i don't think guys are that picky for girls in terms of height... i think girls are much more picky

I'm 17 and 5'0" and it comes with its disadvantages and advantages. I've found that some guys are just naturally attracted to shorter girls ;)
AND i wear ballet flats with pride!!!!

but one HUGE HUGE disadvantage to being a short girl is that people do not take you seriously, especially if you hold a leadership position. I'm the president of Asia Club, and people usually just scoff jokingly whenever I try to quiet the room down and restore order in my small voice, looking up at everyone who is so much taller than i am. I guess they can't see someone so short and FEMALE leading them. An interesting thought. Maybe people have this vision of leaders to always be tall, male, handsome, with a deep resonating and commanding voice. SO UNFAIR!

Did I tell you the story where I was at a restaurant? The [17 year old] waitress asked my mom if that would be a junior cup for me. I stood up and was about a head taller than her. So, yeah. Hopefully my chubby cheeks will go away eventually.

I stopped getting those "kiddie meal" comments when I changed my posture and clothing style. If you act older, people will believe you are older, at least to some extent.

i was always in the 97th percentile for height and i ALWAYS got my age mistaken.. i ALWAYS wished to be shorter when i was younger (I was like 5'3 as a 12 year old).. it felt very akward. When I was thirteen, I could pass for a college grad... seriously! Now my height is slowing down (5'6), and i wish i was taller (5'8).. everyone wants to be what they're not.

ive seen good lookin girls at all heights and if she's cute.....y not get with her. And sometimes petite girls could just be so adorable anyayz and there size kinda makes them even cuter.

I'm 5'4 and I have no idea whether or not I'm petite or not. Be happy you know that you are definitely petite XD Sometimes it's 5'3 and under that is considered petite and sometimes it's 5'4 and under. It's kind of frustrating, to never know where you stand XD

I've always wished I were taller. Mainly because I'm the shortest in my family (even though we're Asian haha. My brother has been 6' since he was 12. Meh) but also because it's a pain to not know where to shop XD A doctor said that I have some growth left in me, though, so crosses fingers
