I'm a newly admitted student to Trinity through ED2. And I'd like to know more about the Quest program. Did anyone here take part in it? Please share something with us about this special program.

My son participated in Quest last summer and enjoyed it tremendously. He has applied to be a Quest leader this summer.

If you haven't done anything like this before, you will incur significant expenses buying clothes and equipment, in addition to the Quest fee. I believe that financial help is available if you need it, though. I'm sure that the school feels that nobody should have to pass up Quest for financial reasons if they want to participate.

I'm sure you've already checked it out, but here is the link to Quest on Trinity's website:

Thanks for your reply and I've checked out the link. The thing is I am quite interested in the program, but have never tried anything like this before, so I am afraid I will find it difficult to master the wild life skills. And oh, is it possible that I could talk with your son and get more detailed information?

No experience is required. I suspect that a large number of the participants have never done this before. Each Quest participant is given an extensive list of what to bring and what to wear. Once you arrive, you are assigned to groups of about seven with an experience group leader. The program is designed with the expectation that you have no experience.

It is my understanding that Quest was instituted by Trinity's president, Jimmy Jones. During Quest, President Jones will spend a day in the wilderness with each group, getting to know the participants.

I took part in it last year, and yea, you can do it even if you have never done anything like this before. It's a great experience... definitely worth it.

Well, maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for your reply.
