So I used to hate reading before high school until I found out that reading wasn't so bad. Plus, I hear reading could boost your SAT scores. I've been starting to read non-school assigned books this summer, so basically, I'm a newbie to reading. Anyway, should I read books from the College Board 101 Recommended Books list, or is it okay that I read other books for preparing for the SAT?

Anything that falls under the category of “great literature” should be fine. Try to expose yourself to a wide variety so that you’re ready for all kinds of passages.
