About Real Estate

Can real estate agents work for themselves or do they have to work under brokers and get paid by commission? If the latter is true, then why? Is it because the brokers can handle some legal documents that the real estates can't?

Agents can work for themselves, set aside their own hours and schedules and work as they chose. Unfortunately, you have to have your license hung with a broker in order to work for the company you so choose to do so with. Brokers are real estate agents that have undergone extensive training in management and ethics, and have been an agent in the past, and they are usually some of the top producers in the field. They help guide the starting agents with such training and better ways to produce for the office. Even the brokers get paid by commission, so don't let that throw you off. Hope this helps!
