<p>The US News rankings are invalid. For example Va Tech engineering is rated above RPI, but RPI is rated much higher in the overall rankings. Since both are primarily engineering schools, those two rankings clearly contradict each other. Go to the RPI website and take a look at the facilities and programs. That should be enough to convince you that the engineering program is more than competitive with the schools at the very top of the list. RPI is world class.</p>
