Okay next year will be my sophmore year in high school and some of the courses I am taking, Algebra 2, World History, and Chemistry have SAT II's I was wondering if after taking these classes if i will be prepared enough to take these tests with a high level of success (700+).
So if anyone can tell me about the level of diffuculty of:
SAT II: Chemistry
SAT II: World History
SAT II: Math Level I

Thank you.

does anyone know about this?

What kind of classes are you taking? My school doesn't offer AP, but my Honors European history teacher was amazing so I still got an 800 pretty easily. This year, my honors chemisty class didn't teach me half the stuff I needed to know for the test, so I didn't even consider it.

This summer I'm gonna buy the CB book of real SAT II's and take the two science tests, bio and chem. Whichever one I do better on or think I could relearn easier, I'll buy that subject's book and study over the summer for the test in October.

These classes will be honors not ap's

Sophomores at my school who take Chemistry Honors tend to actually score higher if they take the SAT II Chem test than those who wait until Junior year and who've had a year of AP Chemistry. I hear it's because SAT II Chem is focused on the Sophomore level curriculum more. I really don't know, I'm a physics/biology guy ;)

So with that said, I'm pretty sure that you can do well on the SAT II Chem test, as long as you start studying in advance

I can't comment about the World History test. I don't know anything about it.

Math Level I covers a little bit of Algebra 2 and a lot of Geometry. So if you know the latter subject very well, you'll be fine.

However, it's my opinion that students do better on the Math IIC, and that top colleges (HYPSM) rather see an 800 in IIC than an 800 IC. So, I'd advise you to consider taking IIC instead. In which case, it'd be probably better for you to hold off on taking the IIC until you've had a year of Precalculus level math.

I think math Ic was covered (i would recommend u take IIc for the same reason masamume pointed out), and i dont profess to know much about world history.

However, about the chemistry satII, I think I can address. I personally took chem ap this year (as a junior), and took the satII in may (three days before the ap test...haha). masamume is right, as the chem ap material really goes above/beyond what is covered in the satII chemistry, and the earlier material is sometimes forgotten. Maybe this is just for my school, but as the ap cirriculum is pretty standard nation-wide, I am assuming this is probably true for you too. Some of the topics in the satII are not even covered (for ex., properties of certain common compounds, etc.), and as a result, i did poorly on the test. i feel as a sophmore last year (taking chem honors), i would have been better prepared to get close to 800 on the subject test. so, i think ull be fine. just study hard. :)

Ask the teachers or your 3 courses. They may know better than any of us do about what SAT II material the course covers.

The SAT Chem, for me, was easy simply because I'm "chem-obsessed," as my friends say. Math IIC is easiest right after you finish trig/precalc. I didn't take World History.
