Hi I was hoping someone can give me some advice on this…
I’m contemplating whether to send in supplemental materials (in this case, slides of some my photography) to the schools I’m applying to.
The thing is, I’ve never actually “studied” photography and haven’t really taken any classes - it’s purely just a hobby I’ve picked up in the past two years. My pictures aren’t anything fantastic, but I think they’re decent and I’m definitely planning to continue taking pictures in college. Maybe it will give me a little “edge”?
I just want to know if it would be worth it to send it in and hope that my work, although not exactly “polished”, would be taken seriously by the people who look at them. It just seems like they want stuff from people who are significantly “distinguished” in the particular medium they choose to send in.
