As far as I understood, payments should be addressed to Princeton University. However, recently I found out that DHL, TNT, etc. dont accept checks that are to be received by an organization (like Princeton University). So, I was wondering, how do people usually send these checks? What services do they use?

Registered USPS?

I am an international student and therefore I can choose only from the aforementioned postal services.

The fees goes to some place in Philadelphia.

I'm sending payment via wire transfer. My parents emailed the student accounts office about it and they provided the account we're supposed to wire the payment to. We're going to go to the bank next week and ask them how to make a wire transfer.

hey kjoodles, isn't next week a bit late? it's due by 21st. although we are almost a full day ahead of them, when i went to the bank n transferred the money, they said it could take up to 4 working days. it took 2 days for me though. hope you make it in time! im leaving on sunday! two FULL luggages+backpack+sleeping bag.......

Yeah i figured it'll take awhile too. I went to the bank today and had the mooolahs transferred. I'm leaving next week- I get a few days to enjoy the tropical heat in Singapore before OA. I'm going to buy my sleepin bag and random OA accessories once I get to the states... I'll have a all day on the 1st to do all that so its gonna be fully sick! I guess i'll be seeing you soon eh

wow that was a quick reply! lol glad u sorted it out in time. im arriving in the states on 29th so i will have about 5 days to do the shopping (hair dryer, lamp, fan etc) and show dad how beautiful the campus is and do some sightseeing in NYC. how much stuff (clothes mainly) are you gonna take?

PS. sorry for spamming the thread with irrelevant/personal posts....

I'm going to bring most of my t-shirts, pants, etc etc and a very warm winter coat. I figured I may need a suit so im thinking how im going to fit it into my backpack . I'm going get all the dorm stuff and bedding etc when I get there. I haven't been in contact with my roomies so I'm guessin they're as lazy as I am so we'll see what we need once we get there.

What are you bringing? I'll probably see you around on the 1st. I intend to explore the campus in detail as soon as I get there evil grin

one of my luggages is full of summer stuff and a suit (plus ties, n shirts) and the other is full of warm stuff. the backpack will contain my most treasured laptop plus various chargers etc.

ive explored the campus already in april eviler grin it's quite tiring to explore in DETAIL...you will be quite tired out! not if you are only looking at frist+ur dorm+lib etc tho:P
