This is a stupid question, but just to make sure... I don't have to take SAT, if I transfer from community college to Uni? Only the grades I make at CC matter?

u def do for alot of colleges. As a junior, however, theres not TOO many that will require it...just chekc their websites and look at their requriements.

Do all the ivies require SATs? What about Stanford?

I know that the UCs don't...right?..

I believe that if you haven't taken the SAT I, you should take it. Or if your scores are lower than the universities average, it doesn't hurt to update it when you apply.

no way around it except if you are applying to Cornell, NYU, Georgetown.

I believe Georgetown requires a SAT score.

ops. mistake. thats if you are over 25.

The SATs can be re-taken at any time right?

I'm a first year at a CC hoping to transfer to a first or second tier uni, and had 1270 on the old SAT. I'm thinking about retaking it now for I know I can do better (I've already gone over a book on the new SAT with the changes, and think it's easier- for me at least)

I have never taken the SAT and don't want to take it... What's the poing of taking it if you have already studied 2 years at a community college and made a great GPA?

Exactly!!! And sadly because Stanford, and a couple other schools that I would have liked to apply to require the SATs, I don't think I will apply to them...it's not ONLY because of that...but still..

So which UC's require the SAT for transfers? UCLA doesn't?
