<p>When colleges tell applicants that they look only at the highest score students receive on ACT/.SAT, do they truly only see that highest score? Or is it more like a courtroom where a judge tells a jury to ignore the disputed testimony just given....</p>
<p>The latter, however they want to record your highest score because it will benefit their stats if they admit you. They do see everything you send. If they let you use score choice so you only send what you want sent, that is different. But the UCs last summer said they recommended sending everything but that you COULD use score choice – then by the time application season opened they were requiring you to send them all but said they would only look at the high score.</p>
<p>That varies by school. Some schools use your entire testing history to check for improvement and whatnot while others literally use a computer program to calculate your SAT/ACT score -which is the only score the adcomm sees on your file. </p>
