About the CSULB Nursing Program

I read this message posted a few years ago on college confidential"
"Before you can be a nursing major you have to take 8 prerequisites classes:

GE math class

GE critical thinking class

GE oral communication class

GE written communication class

CHEM 140: General chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry

Classes 1-4 must be completed before you can take:
6. BIO 207- Human Physiology
7. BIO 208- Human Anatomy

Class #5 must be completed before you can take:
8. MICR 200- Microbiology"

My question is: Is it still true that 1-4 must be completed before 6&7, and that 5 must be completed before 8? (On a side note, how hard is it to get the classes you want?)
