about the urgent desire to be chanced

hey guys!

i am a student from munich, germany, and i am considering to apply for cornell fall 1012
by now i haven't any SAT or TOEFL scores (i would do that after passing our final exams this summer) but i would like to know if i had any chance judging from my other stats

i will pass my abitur with about 1.4 to 1.5 average (top 5% i guess)
did one SAT practice test, but without learning much for it: CR 690 / M 700 / W about 580-600 (but i hope they will get better as i practice for them^^)

courses attended this year:
math, german, english, chemistry, physics, geography, history, art, glaciation and global warming, civics, ethics, mathematical optimizing and game theory, climbing

extracurriculars:
- gymnastics (participated in the 2nd and 3rd german 'Bundesliga' (national league))
- was coach for our younger gymnasts
- we sometimes take part in shows with our team
- founded a newspaper of our year some years ago
- organizing lots of stuff, like our graduation newspaper, design and purchase of our graduation shirts, organizing parties of our year
- played volleyball and tennis
- i love mountain biking (i crossed the alps by mountain bike twice now)
- i am taking a gap year and i will probably do an internship (i am in contact with some MunichRE guys) and i will volunteer in india for about four months probably in the beginning of 2012

intended major: mathematics maybe combined with a minor in economics

would be nice of you if you estimated wether i could have any chances! :)

anyone? please?

You’re lucky because Cornell doesn’t consider the Writing Section of the SAT. I don’t know anything about international admissions, but if you were weren’t international, you’d definitely have a decent chance at Cornell. I think international admission at Cornell is tougher and they have less spots for them. Still, I think you have a decent chance and you should apply.

great! thanks
any other opinions?? ;)
