About the visual art design class requirement for University of Washington of Seattle.

I check that it need .5 credits for class that is related to art, music, design (especially visual), even speech. However, the only class I had before that was art related was basic technology. My computer teacher told me that the class was actually an art class due to spending whole class on web designing such as shading, perspective, and even textures.

I am afraid of that the uw would not accept it even the class was essentially an art class, but because the name of the class basic technology. Could anyone answer me, or give me the email of uw application admission? By the way, I get the permission from my computer teacher to write the letter to the uw admission.

In your brower, enter “UWashington” + Admissions + contact, and ask them the question.
Odds are it won’t be counted as art, and you’d better plan on taking that .5 credit class next semester.

But I am a senior, that mean I do not have time for it. Another art like class I took was freshman computer which is base on programming (poster design) and animation (game, mini cartoon).

Well, you still have time next semester, since it’s a .5 class. You’d have to go see your guidance counselor
Hoping a class you took will count won’t make it so - ask UWA, as I said a couple days ago. But have a plan B since odds are high they’ll tell you your other classes don’t count.
You could take that .5 class next semester, see if it’d count if you took it from virtual school, go to community college then transfer to UWA (but lose any chance at a merit scholarship, if you were so qualified), attend another college than UWA. Those are your alternatives.

This is * your * application, so you should be looking this stuff up yourself. UW literally has a form you can fill out with the express purpose of asking these questions on its undergraduate admissions page–why don’t you try there? You can definitely take a visual arts class next semester to meet the requirements, but if you’re unwilling to do so, then you can just cross this one off your list, I guess. It’s that simple.

Good luck!

I seriously need answers that the classes I took were going to count because I ran out of other alternatives. I just need some give me the email from the admission, or tell me whether the classes I take count.

use your browser. type in the name of the university + admissions + contact
and ask them.

WE can’t tell you. Only UWA can.

Once you know that the classes you took won’t count, ask your guidance counselor what .5 classes are offered in the Spring to meet that requirement, or apply elsewhere.

The email is lookitupyourself@lazyperson.edu. Seriously. You can’t google this stuff? You were able to make an account on this site and create a post–surely you can look up basic contact information for an admissions office. This strikes me as incredibly lazy behavior, and I’m doubtful of your chances at acceptance if you can’t even scrounge up the effort to type some words into your browser.

I think you’re just looking for reassurance that your classes will indeed meet the visual design requirements, that we’ll say oh, don’t worry, that computer programming class absolutely satisfies the requirements, so that you can go along your merry way. The problem is, it doesn’t seem to be that way, and you’d better check with your guidance counselor or admissions office yourself if you want an actual answer.

Dude, I already check it and sent admission the questions. I am just want to make sure, not lazy or anything. I just really need some someone who have the similar situations. Also, I did check the requirement WAY before and did ask the email just in case. Here is the following One-half credit or one trimester of study is required in the fine, visual, or performing arts, to be chosen from art appreciation, band, ceramics, choir, dance, dramatic performance and production, drawing, fiber arts, graphic arts, metal design, music appreciation, music theory, orchestra, painting, photography, print making, or sculpture.

Courses generally not accepted include architecture, color guard, creative writing, drafting, drill team, fashion design, foreign languages, interior design, sewing, speech, woodworking, and yearbook.

So the question that I did have research (creative writing mostly), Spanish III in junior, computers electives (especially on freshman and Junior). All of the classes do satisfy the criteria somehow, but the NAMES. Not because I ask email or support mean I am lazy, I did research and asked help way earlier.
