I've been to the Duke TIP program twice...

and my family and I are debating whether it is worth the money to go to this Boston University Summer Course thingy...

its the usual: 3,000 bucks, 2 weeks, etc etc.

But the reason i really want to go is because:

1) I had some of the best times of my life at Duke TIP..so why not give BU a try?
2) The course is offering the very same sessions i want to go into: Business and Advertising
3) Will it look insignificant, decent, good, great, awesome in my college apps?

help me out please, its really hard to decide and I would like some input!

Thanks!

If you are truly interested in the field and can afford it, why not give it a try? It
ll give you a chance to visit the campus, perhaps schedule an interview and what not if you dont live close to the area.
I
m sure it will atleast look decent in your app. If you have the stats (numbers+ECs) then that will give you atleast some leg up but dont count on it.

Bottom line- if you
re interested in the program and have the money to go, then go. But don
t go based solely on the reason that it will look good on your app. Go for the experience. Otherwise, your summer is better spent doing work/volunteering, etc.

I don't think it's that prestigious, but it sounds like a fun program (im going). So if you like that type of thing and you can afford it, why not try it?
