<p>Surprise surprise, my college decision-making endeavors have come to an end. I am about to accept my place in UChicago's class of 2012. Go me, I've made the right decision.</p>

<p>I just logged into my ThickEnvelope page and hit the "reply checklist" link. I scroll to the bottom, anticipating the moment more and more. However, at the bottom of the page I see "Note: your enrollment deposit fee has been waived"?</p>

<p>Is this some sort of mistake? Do I really not have to pay the deposit? Anyone else out there get this message at some point?</p>

<p>Mine was waived too. My aid is close to a full ride, and I thought that might've been the reason why, but maybe it's 'cause we're scholarship winners? Or under-represented minorities? Not sure what the common theme is here.</p>
