D would like to know about the triples in Gilbert:
1. Are the beds bunked?
2. Does the furniture include a nightstand?
3. Are these just large rooms, or are they converted suites of some kind?

Any other pertinent info about the triples in Gilbert Hall would be appreciated.

The beds are bunked in triples.
The furniture does not include a night stand. The only really standalone thing besides the desk and the wardrobe is the dresser which I used as my nightstand.
The Gilbert rooms are large rooms. I believe even with the triples she will still have more space than in most other colleges.
I don't know if I mentioned this already, but triples have the lowest rate of roommate conflict by far and have been very successful.

MADad, My daughter lived in a Gilbert triple last year - her freshman year. Be prepared to move furniture when she moves in. My daughter moved in a week early cause she's an athlete - I was glad all three girls+parents+siblings+stuff were not there at the same time - it was VERY CLOSE . D ultimately lofted her bed -put her desk under her bed. The other two beds were bunked, the girls stacked two dressers and that's where the microwave landed - the TV on the other dresser, they got a small frig in somewhere. They ended up with lots of floor room and enough individual space. The girls were creative with wiring. Bring power strips. It all worked out well. Socially - the girls did great also. Everybody was on different schedules between sports and classes and campus life. The parents at orientation were far more freaked out about the triples than the kids.
