About UCLA admission

If my total number of UC transferable units is over 80, am I eligible for UCLA admission?
UCB admission says NO. What about UCLA????

Yes you will be eligible as long as they all came from comm college I was rejected from UCSB but accepted at UCLA because of a units issue also

Actually I will have 87 transferable units prior to enrollment at UC. They say you may have up to 90 units, but Berkeley says if your total number of UC transferable units is over 80, you are not eligible for UCB admission….
I don’t know about UCLA. I am so worried about it.

Q: If my total number of UC transferable units is over 80, am I eligible for admission?
A: Unfortunately, not if you've applied to the College of Letters and Science, where most applicants with excess units are denied admission. If you've applied to the College of Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Design or Natural Resources, your application will be reviewed and there may be a slight chance of admission with excess transferable units. Exception: If all of your coursework has been or will be completed at one or more California community colleges, you are eligible for admission and the maximum transfer credit you can receive is 70 semester (105 quarter) units.

maybe this will be helpful.

if what rob_rob saying is correct, im guessing anything below 80 is ok?

hey mexbruin, how are u? HOw is UCLA treating u? Tell us how ur first year went...

So as long as all of your units are from a CC, you can have more than 80 transferable with no problem? ie You can have as many as you want and they'll just accept of 70 of them?

With the all classes I'm taking (and all the ones I plan on taking), I'm worried I'll have too much. I'm 'getting a feel' for everything by taking diverse courses.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yesyesyestyyes

Rob Rob never responded as to whether all of his units come from CCCs or not.

Hi mexbruin

All my units come from CCC. So what about that??

hahahah this question has been brought up so many many many many many many many many many times already if any of you notice it... yeah, even counselors often learn about this question from the students.

God, I'm like at 55 units. I'll have close to 80 after spring and summer.

Just wondering how did you all end up with so many units?

When I left my CC I only had 63.

i had ten from HS. I been attending each session incluiding summer and winter, unfortunatly. I never took more than 14. Last semester i did only 11. I still have 56 units. And i am taking 14 more in spring. to make it 70.

Science classes are usually 5 units, while history are usually 3 which makes a big difference.

I am an international student, so I took 2 UC transferable ESLs which are 4 units each. And my major is Math. There are 9 major req. classes. Moreover, I have been in CCC for more than 2 years. That's why I have lots of units.
