I have applied for UCLA and UCI transfer for 2011 Fall semester as Business Economic major. (( UCI for Business Administration major))

I currently have 3.85 GPA including 2010 fall semester..

My GPA for Major courses is 4.0.. but I got one B from ESL 186 class and two Bs from

general courses..

I have heard that UCLA Transfer as Business Economic major is really tough as hell.

Some people say that club activity or community services affect a lot..

However, I do not have any club activities or community services..

Do I still have chance to get accepted??

I am a California Resident.

I’d say maybe like 25-30% of getting in.

I hope you applied to more than just those 2. Because UCLA is not guaranteed and UCI is near impossible.

oh… i also applied for UCSD and UCSB as well…

@iTransfers
is UCI business admin. admission rate lower than UCLA buz econ???

That is good. UCI biz admin only takes about 10-15 transfers. So yeah it is more difficult. UCI biz econ would have a guarantee though.

Note: UCI does not have finance concentration. Only general, management, marketing, and accounting.

They do however offer a couple of finance/investment classes. The econ depart also offers 3-4 also.

I think you’re in at UCSB and UCSD. I don’t know anything about UCI and UCLA is quite a stretch for your major.

Hopefully you put Bus Econ down as your alternate major @ UCI…it’s a better school for Business/Econ compared to UCSD and UCSB.

^
not so sure about that. It’s all about preferences.
UCSB actually has accounting classes in their biz econ just like UCLA. UCSD is ranked higher in econ and now also has an accounting minor.

Only 10-15 transfers? Have a source for that number?

The Merage School intends to enroll 150 majors per academic year, beginning in Fall 2008 with freshman enrollees. Applications for transfer students and change of majors will be accepted for the Fall of 2010, with approximately 8-10% of the 150 majors entering per year being transfer students or change of majors (totaling approximately 15 students).
