As I've mentioned before my son is HS jr, currently taking a heavy load at the local state univ, it's free under the post secondary program here in ohio, so it's a great deal financially. He had A's in his 1st college classes , pre calc and eng I , which was 10 hrs worth of credit, so this semester he signed up for 17 hrs, plus 2 HS classes. My question is I've heard most scholarship cash is directed for incoming freshmen --needless to say the kid will have enough hours to be classified as a soph or maybe even a Jr. Does this disqualify him from some offers ? will he be classified as a transfer student ? Thanks Dan

My D had 24 hours of dual-credit courses and it did not matter a whit. She was eligible for freshman scholarships at schools that did accept the course credit, and at those that didn’t. YMMV.

add YMMV to the rather long list of abbreviations that I have no clue about on this forum. This place is like alphabet soup . Dan

IIRC, it’s “Your mileage may vary”. ;)

FWIW, I think it’s “if I recall correctly”. ;)

Gee. This is fun.

EVEN I , stuck in the 90’s , tech challenged, no cell phone , etc etc know FWIW – just KISS ! MD

Dang. I set the bar too low. ;)

It does not matter! In Ohio also. Ohio is also giving great $$ to top students who stay in Ohio for college.

Hey Miami – could you give some examples or expound on that statement about Ohio – thanks Dan PS are you miami ohio related ?
