About Wells College

Hey, anyone knows something about Wells College? Let's talk about this college here. My friend recommended me this college but I knew nothing abuot it. Thank you!

I have a co-worker who graduated from Wells. It was awhile ago, however. Nevertheless, she told me she loved it. If you have some specific questions let me know and I'll get her feedback.

My daughter received their 21st Century Leadership scholarship offer as a junior, so she is applying. She visited the school in the spring since we only live an hour and a half away, it is tiny, but a pretty campus. The woman who started the American Girl company is an alum and put a lot of money into the school and surrounding town. A student can take a shuttle to Cornell for a class if it is not offered at Wells, and the internship opportunities look interesting. D gets to go back for a day in a couple of weeks for the scholarship recognition, so I'll PM you with anything else we find out...good luck!

Thanks for all your information! Your words definitely help me know more about this school.

I attended Wells years ago and have followed the progress of many Wells students through the pages of the alumnae bulletin. For decades, an undergraduate Wells education has given young women an excellent start on adult life. Many have gone on to graduate school and a variety of rewarding professional careers. My experience at Wells was positive academically and socially and I strongly support attending small, liberal arts colleges where faculty are easily accessible and often live really close to campus.

Just spoke with my co-worker who graduated from Wells. She reiterated how much she loved it there. She liked the campus, said it was beautiful. Most of all, she said her professors were excellent. She liked that she could also take classes at Cornell and Ithaca, and that she never needed a car since there were shuttles that took her where she needed to go. She mentioned how she met a few celebrities and well known musicians during her time there.

She did say that when she was there a lot of students were gone second semester studying abroad, but she felt there was always plenty to do. There's a golf course on campus, and lots of student sponsored activities.

To hear her tell it, it sounds like a wonderful place for someone interested in a small school.

Thank you all! Your information are definitely helpful to me:) By the way, anyone knows something about non-degree program in Wells? Thank you again.

Thank you all! Now Wells College is the top of my list, I will start to apply soon.
