i am applying to brown rd, but i have never visited the campus. i’m sure i’d like it, i’ve heard lovely things about it, but would the fact that i haven’t visited affect my chances of getting in? is brown one of the schools that checks if you have been to info sessions etc. or do they care?

I know for a fact that Brown doesn't track visits -- when we visited this summer there was NO sign in sheet for the info session/tour. But you might still like to visit to get a better feel for the campus.

thanks blackeyedsusan, i'll probably try to visit. i just wanted to know, it's so frustrating when you think they're tracking whether you visit or not and then you get there and they don't care... that's happened to me a few times before.

It won't make you any more likely to get in, but it's DEFINITELY worth coming to visit. Stay with somebody overnight, if you can (somebody you know, if you know anyone here, and if not, the college can set you up with somebody I think). That'll help you a lot in getting a feel for the campus. If you are admitted, definitely come to ADOCH (A Day on College Hill, the admitted students' program in April).

awesome, thanks
