<p>Are absences and tardies disadvantage for me? I am an international student so I had to leave the US for severalk days for my visa... I don't know why my absence was not considered excused...</p>
<p>I don't know how a college would find out about you having absences/tardies. Usually absences and tardies are marked on your report card but not your transcript. I guess if you had so many that you didn't receive credit for a course or somebody was obligated to mention it in a letter of rec then it COULD be a problem, but I honestly don't think it will matter.</p>

<p>Probably not. You could ask your GC to include a little sidenote about it in the school report or something. 8 days isn't THAT much. I've missed at least 12 full days of school for swim meets and it's not a big deal.</p>
<p>yeah my transcripts include absences and tardies....mine say i missed
~22 days (b/c of car accident not including weekends and week long sprinf break, see official ED thread stats if curious) i just made up all my work...as long as your grades are where you want them to be you're fine.</p>
