I'm looking for the best place to live at UCLA (regardless of $$)

My top choices in order:

2) Hedrick Summit, Rieber Terrace, and Rieber Vista (Single) - I'm also not quite sure what to expect from these new buildings. Rieber Terrance seems to look a lot nicer than the other 2.

2) Hitch/Saxon Suites (Double) - Which is better? I know suites don't have much of a social atmosphere but I'm not sure what the difference is between Hitch and Saxon. I just know Saxon is closer walk.

3) De Neve Plaza (Double) - Great location, but lacking space.

What do you guys think? Any options are greatly appreciated!

Anyway, I'm not too sure about how on-campus housing works for transfer students but, in general, you probably won't get a single. I'm 93% sure that all the single 10 person suites in HS, RT and RV are full. Also, just about the only differences btwn De Neve and the three new buildings is that the three new ones are, well, new - meaning, you will be "lacking space" anywhere you end up. As for the Hitch/Saxon suites, I believe there isn't much difference btwn them either. So, given that, in my opinion De Neve is ideal because it is closer to campus.

However, I assume, that you have to fill out the same housing application as the rest of us, so you don't actually get to choose your building - just the type of building you want to live in. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this about transfer students and on-campus housing...)

Oh just to add... De Neve is ideal if you want to be slightly more social. If you don't then its a toss up btwn that and the Hitch/Saxon suites.
