Absolutely HORRIBLE high school counselors - help!

@rickle1 Exactly. We all know they’re swamped. I’d actually be somewhat sympathetic if this wasn’t an ongoing issue with her managing to mess up on a regular basis. It wasn’t even a LOR, which my DD would never ask her to write. If a scholarship application requires that a counselor sign off on it, then it’s her job to do it. It’s not anything extra we’re asking her to do. It’s HER JOB.

@MYOS1634: Thanks for that advice. I honestly thought I wouldn’t have to deal with this until the fall. There’s a local college that DD has no interest in attending, but she can apply there early just to make sure everything is ready. This is just getting so stressful. I really never expected this level of ineptitude from the GC. We need zero advice from her, just to fill out some darn forms on time. Sheesh. Is that so hard?
