You are right-- the "hey" song isn't from Animal House. But I thought what you were describing was "shout", from Animal House.

"Xiggi, I won't even bother to do more research to see what other JANUARY tidbits you conveniently left out. I think we can agree that your posts on this topic are highly suspect. "

Hehe, you could have noticed that the lists showed HOW FAR the Eagles made it in the post-season in the past 25 years. I am sorry for not having a couple of victories that preceded the usual early exit. FWIW, the Eagles are 15-15 in the play-offs with most of the victories in December. Does not change much to the fact that the Eagles are known chokers in the big games. I hope history repeats itself tomorrow! Oh well, this may be the year they break their own Bambino curse.

"and I'm grateful the Cowboys are tucked away for the season"

Oh, it is nice to share the wealth. After 8 trips to the Super Bowl and 5 wins, we deserve a little vacation and early tuck. At least, the Cowboys do not have to nest over that goose egg that represents the number of Super Bowls victories earned by the Mighty Eagles.

Xiggi, i have learned just to ignore your posts :) Especially ones about football....

Man I really hope that Donovan doesn't choke tomorrow like the last two years. I'm a big Philly fan, but he has a bit of a choking reputation in the playoffs... Go birds!

Fender, you mean the 3-4 football posts I ever posted. :)

yep, and all of the rest :)

Speaking as a Buckeye, I think I'm hoping for no Meechegan quarterback in the Super Bowl....so even though the Pats look so strong, I'm hoping they lose tomorrow. Whatever happens, what a group of quarterbacks...amazing! Just wish Dante Culpepper was somewhere in the group. I do like to watch him play.

And Interesteddad, Michael Vick is Atlanta's QB, not running back.

Not that anyone could tell from his passing stats. He's a great running back. Terrible QB.

That's why I think he would enjoy playing against the Pats defense. Belichick would come up with some diabolical scheme to force him to throw the ball and see how he handles the pressure.

But, first things first. The Steelers will be a challenge tomorrow. I expect them to put up more of a fight than the Colts did.

I think Ben R. is terribly overrated, and i love the quote on ESPN about how if he has to throw 30 passes we'll be seeing the Patriots in the Superbowl. I hope that the Patriots beat the Steelers, although I wouldn't mind horribly if the Steelers did win.. as I am from PA.. but I'm just tired of hearing about their QB.

Blue state vs red state shoot-out would be nice.

Funny, Vick seemed to be able to pass the ball just fine at Virginia Tech. Maybe he forgot when he arrived at the professional level? Anyway, Dunn, Duckett, and Vick are going to roll over the Eagles defense and the Pats will expose Big Ben. Patriots vs. Falcons in the Super Bowl!!

Funny, Vick seemed to be able to pass the ball just fine at Virginia Tech. Maybe he forgot when he arrived at the professional level?

He throws the ball just fine. But, he looks like a college QB in the passing game. The speed, precision, and decision-making of an NFL passing game is a quantum leap beyond the college ranks.

He is, however, an extraordinarily explosive NFL running back. Very fun to watch.

i'm so sad the colts didn't win...

so now it's all about the FALCONS!

so falcons vs. steelers ...but a Falcon VICKtory would be a lot cooler.

i just don't even want the Patriots to have a CHANCE of winning...i can't stand them.

I think what Michael Vick is is a great marketing tool! We went to the Nov. game against New Orleans ( the quarterback- cousins playing each other-- we won in the last minute and 21 seconds -- GREAT GAME!) and what you saw all around (including on my s's back) was a sea of red, white or black shirts with the #7. Personally, I like Algie Crumpler-- too underrated. Uh oh-- I didn't mean to use that word-- PLEASE, let's not start another overrated/underrated thread!

I am totally neutral on the bird vs. bird game, but the damn Steelers must lose just so I can keep my sanity! Even though Mr. Brady is from 'that school up north' and Belichoke couldn't do jack ship with my boys, I will be seriously cheering for the Pats at 6 o'clock eastern.

An all Pennsylvania Super Bowl would be awesome. Let's just hope the Steelers play much better than they did last week; that was not Super Bowl material.

That's it folks....the Eagles are headed to the Superbowl!!

And for all of you that talked trash about the Eagles......
BooooooYaaaaah!

(smile)

So are the Patriots! Go New England!

:-(

i hated this season...everything that could possibly go wrong did...and throughout the playoffs i kept saying "as long as the eagles and the patriots aren't in the superbowl it's all good"

now look at what happened

" Even though...Belichoke couldn't do jack ship with my boys, I will be seriously cheering for the Pats at 6 o'clock eastern."
Maybe, you should just face the facts that the Browns don't have any talent. You can make lemonade out of lemons, but not out of ****. What would be the point of sending Vince Lombardi over to the Bengals?
