was laconic one of the other answer choices for this question?

yes 10 char

do u rember the question?

It was something along the lines of a boy who would never drink anything stronger than green tea.

I didn't know for sure what abstemious meant, but I decided to associate it with the word "abstain," since they probably do share that root/meaning, and he was abstaining from anything stronger than tea.

Oh snap, I think I picked that too. It was for similar reasoning to Kaznack, that and I canceled out at least 3 of the other choices. Abstemious ftw?

i ithink i put abstemious, b/c in my kaplan book, i remember it saying something like "consuming in moderation"...

so consume=drink????

but then again, i probably double guessed myself and did something stupid like "durrr.....laconic starts with L, and so does liquid, so it must be LACONIC!!!"" haha.

What, now we aren't sure if abstemious was right? It means, "moderate or sparse in eating or drinking" laconic means "concise, aprubt". How could it not be abstemious?

Thanks butternut cause I was about to look up laconic. I wasn't sure what abstemious meant during the test, but I'm nearly certain I chose it. Nah, it is settled that it was abstemious though.

ab·ste·mi·ous –adjective
1. sparing or moderate in eating and drinking; temperate in diet.

I always thought abstemious meant staying away from alcohol. Similar meaning, but the dictionary has nothing to do with alcohol specifically.

Thats good, becuase I didn't want to have my 19/19 put into jeapardy. (how the heck do you spell that?!)

jeopardy lol

lol, I can never spell it...
