Abstract in additional info section.

Hey guys, I put an abstract/introduction for one of my research projects in the additional info section along with a cover letter... do you think that was OK? Only in hindsight I realize it may hurt my chances.

How could that hurt your chances? Research is good.

I know it's good (I did it sponsored by the NIH, HHMI, FDA, and my public school system), I just don't know if that was the proper place to put it.

the supplement should have its own additional info to put it there

Where you put it is fine... It will just show up as an uploaded document. No sweat. If you were supposed to include it as part of the supplement but accidentally swapped it with a document that was meant for "additional info," you could call the Admissions Office and explain that they'll find the research abstract at the back of your Common App. But they'll be reviewing the whole packet anyway, so this is probably optional.
