<p>If living in an un-air-conditioned dorm would you recommend a low power (8amp) portable air conditioner or would your recommend an air cooler? Thanks!</p>
<p>You're not allowed to bring an air conditioner. All you can bring are fans. Get a couple box fans.</p>
<p>LOL..I thought about that one also..$ 400 dollars for a portable Ac at Home depot..Little bitty problem..there would be no electricity if 30% brings portable A/Cs. These old dorms are not set up for that kind of current pull and the whole thing would just crash..too bad..sweat it off son!!! I did it 22 years ago.</p>
<p>It's really not that bad with 2 box fans. Open the door up during the day when you're in the room and you'll be fine.</p>
