AC Requirement at UCB

Hey guys,
I am preparing to sign up for an American Cultures course for the Summer and was wondering if there is a unit requirement? There are 3 & 4 unit courses in the online Summer course catalog.

Sooo…for those of you who care (which is apparently not many), I have found a way to figure out whether or not you have met the AC requirement at your school. I for one have just found that I did not meet the requirement at my Community College despite the array of courses that could have/should have met the requirement. Let me know if you need any help figuring this out!

Hey Kelli. I just saw your post, so I care! How did you figure this out? I would like to check to see if I have met the requirement.

This title made me think that there was an air conditioning requirement at UCB, and I thought “Is it really that hot there?” Sorry, offtopic.

Just go to
<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST;
and it tells you.

basically none of the CCCs have courses that satisfy the AC requirement, besides foothill and maybe de anza

here is the list of cc courses that satisfy AC requirement
[UC Berkeley Academic Senate](http://academic-senate.berkeley.edu/committees/amcult/aproved_other.html)

^ great link! damn none of my three CCC’s are up there.

its not that hard to fulfill though…cuz it can count as one of your major upper-divs or for one of the 6 you need outside your major as long as it has AC tagged on it.

Diablo Valley College has a bunch of courses that satisfy the AC requirement.

Edit: I said this before I checked ks’s link. Nice find!

Yeah, I was dealing with the AC problem two weeks ago- already got myself signed up for a summer course to take care of it. Good to know someone else actually brought this up though.

Yeah, I took History of California for this a while ago. Such an easy class. Basically what I already knew about California, just in a little greater detail.

^where did u take that history of california class?

Diablo Valley College. History 124
