I'm a sophomore and I'll be signing up for junior classes soon.
I have this question: Judging by my other classes and GPA, should I take Ac Chem? or AP (labeled as Honors) Chem?
This year:
Honors English 2
Honors Spanish 3
Honors Algebra 2
Honors World History
Orchestra
PE

Next year:
AP English Language- definitely
AP US History- definitely
AP Spanish Language- definitely
Orchestra- definitely
Honors Trig/Precalc- definitely
(Ac Chem or AP chem?)- undecided

Current GPA: 4.67

From what I've been told, the AP Chem teacher at our school is horrible and fails the entire class repeatedly.
The Ac chem teacher is not great, but he's supposedly better at teaching than the other.
The Ac chem class, I'm told, isn't as hard as Honors, and there will be more people I know in the ac class. Most of my friends this year are taking honors/AP, and they hate it like the dickens.

Since last year, I've been taking the same level classes as my brother, as he had a good schedule and got into Stanford. I've gotten the same amount of A's and B's (ummm 15 and 3, respectively), and in his junior year he took:

AP English Lang
AP Spanish
AP Bio
Honors Trig/Precalc
Ac US history
Symphonic Band

He took the same number of AP, honors and Ac classes as I'm planning/deciding on.
He's taking chem as a college freshman and he encourages me to take chem next year; however he, too, is stumped over what level to take.

What should I do?
