I’m not sure if this has been asked on here already or not, but I was wondering if we have to notify the schools that accept us academically but not artistically. Only one MT rejection mentioned notifying the school about no longer being interested in their university.
It is polite to let them know - otherwise you may continue to get communications from the admissions office as if you are still interested in attending.
At schools that send the acceptances separately, academic admissions may not even know that you applied for, or were accepted or denied admissions to a specific program. If you do not deposit by the requested date (usually May 1) they will know you are not coming, but if you notify a school earlier it may enable them to start looking at waitlisted applicants to the university.
