when are we choosing our courses?

i dont knwo either. i went to the advising session on 22nd, but it was either his words were confusing or i wasnt pay attention, i did really get anything... especially the part that he showed us how to register the class. lol... i think i was too hungry that day, didnt pay much attention.

wtph? so many typos... "i wasnt paying attention.." " i did NOT really get anything", damn, i need some food again. :(

well thanks! i'm scheduled for what seems like the very last advising block and i was worried there wouldn't be class space left...sigh college paranoia...well i'm glad you've made it over that second semster road block--i had a mini panic attack myself.

This is really, really helpful in scheduling your classes.

i scheduled an advising on the 22nd but couldnt make it b/c of work
how do i re-schedule??

i dont think u need an appointment for the advising sessoin, at least i didnt do it, i just went there.

you can reschedule online--the website which is different depending on your major i believe, or maybe scheduling is only for undeclared? anyway, it should've already came with all that info on orientation in may.

is there a mandatory counseling session before you enroll now? At our Mini-SPOP 5 years ago they had a tiny breakout session where little groups would go to rooms depending on what major they thought they'd be, and some student volunteer told us what classes he thought we should take... that's as close as I ever came to advising before enrolling freshman year. I knew what classes most people take their first quarter (writing, Chemistry [those of us in science] and then I filled the last slot with a breadth- I think Econ). Well then again, I was undeclared. If you're a bio major you had to take bio94 first quarter, and probly leave out the breadth class like Econ. Unless you guys wanna graduate in 3 years or something weird, take 12 units your first quarter, you'll be able to have a lot of fun!

UCI 2009- scheduling is really easy btw. You just find what classes you want in your schedule of classes, then log onto Student Access http://www.reg.uci.edu/studentaccess/ and then WebReg and you just type in the course codes of the classes you want. We use to have to do it through a phone service called TELE, which was a little bit more of a pain in the ass, but now it's online and much easier.
