From what you've heard and seen, what would cause a transfer school to rescind an offer of admission? If there is an explanation (such as an illness or accident), how would that play in? Of course we all know that failing all your courses would cause rescinding while all A's wouldn't, but what about the grade spectrum in between?

Would one be able to offer an explanation/defense as to why a grade is as such?

I think if you had a legitimate and provable reason like a serious illness or injury they would understand(provided there werent any missed pre-reqs). I think it’s just a serious change in grades that warrants being rescinded. If you apply with all A’s and then suddenly have Cs it would be risky.

My (future) roommate almost had her admissions rescinded for one grade that went down to a D. It wasn’t a major course, but she was asked to come to the school to explain herself pretty much. It ended up being okay, but depending on with whom you speak/what your reason is, they may not be as lenient.
