You thought lang/lit was boring? HEhe, I found it somewhat interesting and it was short. It has things in it that you already know so you can skip over stuff.

My team. The coaches say we are good. I think we usually come 3rd in state. I remember they told me that when you come in 3rd, everybody can get some money. Is that true for yall in MA? I'm in TX.

Ac Dec isn't a class for you? Its a class for us. We have class every other day and 2 after school practices. And then before state, we hide in janitor closets and study all day. You get to miss class for 2 whole weeks. whee!

the math guide is evil. I hate it, it deserves to die... Any other resource for math is better. We are tring to get through all the basics stuff (math, music theory, art fundamentals, econ) and some anatomy/physiology done by the end of summer, and begin the renaissance stuff this summer... We finished art and math, music will be done by tomorrow... We're going kinda fast, but oh well. Its easy enough, for now...

Hmm, this looks really interesting. I might try to start this club at my school next year, but my quiz bowl coach also coaches Science Olympiad, I don't think he'll want to moderate another hardcore academic club like this...

I cant picture AcaDec being a club, for some reason... It must be really hard to do Decathlon AND a full fledged schedule... I am soooooo glad it takes up a period for us... quitejaded, your studying schedule sounds nice... we have class everyday, with afterschool practices everyday... we are, like, crazy competetive... Is that how you spell comeptetive? Wow, i am going to bomb essay...

Um... We our team was first in state twice a few years ago (i think...) and we have either won county or done very well at the least most other times... Doing well in county isnt that bad, but state in California is a biatch because the state champion is usually El Camino Real who has won nationals quite a bit...

Wow, you need kids with averages below 3.7 to be on your team???

It was gonna be hard for me to find 9 kids with 98 averages that cared enough to join this club, it's gonna be almost impossible to find kids with these lower averages. What's a 3.6 anyways, like 93-94?

it shouldn't be THAT hard... You will find people, emporer550. If there are other competitive academic clubs at your school, go and try to recruit from there, and there will probably be a good turnout.

Yeah, I'm the president of our quiz bowl team. Most of the kids never come back after we tell them that we take it seriously. That's in quiz bowl, an activity in which studying isn't even necessary to be a decent player.

Anyways, the point is that if you're even remotely intellectually inclined, you'll probably have at least a 95 average in my school. Whatevs, I'm sure I can coax some not as smart kids into it.

Around when are the local and regional tournaments? Winter or spring?

We have kids with As, Bs, and Cs. Doesn't it work that way? You have As compete with As, Bs with Bs, and Cs with Cs. WE have all three so we have more chance to win.
