I’m a junior in high school. Our college and career counselor at school suggest we start looking for colleges. I’ve been searching and looking at requirements and I noticed academic electives. What are they? Do extra classes count? I already have a grad plan for classes. I’ll have completed two extra years of math and I think two extra years of science. I just just know I’ll be done with five years of science I can’t remember if we need three or four years. Also, my school doesn’t have AP because it’s really poor. BUT the CC across the street partnered with us to keep us from closing and gave us dual enrollment, allowing us to take any classes we want. As of now I have 16 transferable college credits, and I’ll probably graduate with around 30. Do these count? I’ve taken Psychology, Corrections, Writing 121, Forensic Science and Criminalistics, Multimedia, and a dual credit Modern dance class, and I’m planning to get EMT and Medical Terminology done this year as well. Will these cover academic electives since there’s no AP?
Where are you seeing the term “academic electives”?
