Academic Evaluator - Process Confusion

I've been working through the Common App process for a few months now. In September I asked a professor I had last Spring if I could assign her as an evaluator. She said yes, and I did so but once I did the status never changed on the website from "Not Started". I e-mailed her a few weeks later to follow up and she said she never got anything from the Common App. So I resent it and she said she received it immediately. About a week later I requested current professor of mine to be a second evaluator (since one of the schools I'm applying to requires a minimum of two). He said yes and I assigned him that day.

The problem is the status for both of these instructors still says "Not Started". I submitted my first of six applications on October 15 and the school says they've received everything except my Academic Evaluations. I'm a little confused if there's a component of the process that I'm missing? I've searched Google, and through the Common App website itself but I haven't found anything helpful.

Both instructors have received whatever it is that Common App sends them and they intended to take care of it immediately, but I've not seen any status changes. Am I not supposed to?

I waived the FERPA access, so does that preclude me from knowing the status of these evaluations?

All of my offline forms have been taken care of fine, and the rest of the application process was relatively problem-free, but the Academic Evaluations are what really have me befuddled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

*Oh and yes, both instructors have been Assigned like they’re supposed to be.

I am facing a similar issue. I am from India and my school does not have an Educational Counselor. So, as per the suggestions, I requested my Principal to submit my academic record to the colleges. I provided him with all the information, explained to him the entire process. But for his status, it still says “Not Started” on Common App. I understand that unless he decides to sit one day to this moderately tedious job and complete the work, it won’t get done.
So I was thinking: is it possible for me to submit my academic record to the colleges on behalf of the Principal instead? I am afraid time will run out and I won’t be able to submit my application on time. If I do it, I will with all authenticity of course!
One of my friends told me he has made his own transcript of his record, got it signed and stamped from the Principal and is submitting a scanned copy to the colleges online. I was wondering whether we can do that and how?

Any help is appreciated!

LOL ! I just had to sit down and talk to him one day and he submitted the thing. The fishy part is that he made the lor but didn’t let me know. Just urge your EC’s and recommenders without giving up.
