academic file

Good afternoon everyone. I have a question concerning my high school academic file. But first, let me explain to you about my background. So, I am a Junior I’m high school. At the moment my grades are not doing too well but I am getting my act together and working very hard on it. The advanced placement classes I am currently enrolled in are AP United States History and AP Language and Composition. My transcript is nothing I am very concerned about at the moment, I’m on track with my credits and ahead actually. I am in Z club and an officer, I am publicist this year. Next year I plan to enroll into National Honor Society (however I believe my chances are little now)

Okay so, I was taking a Chemistry quiz and I was so worried that I’d do bad on it. So, I made a mistake and I looked at the paper next to mine and copied two problems. My teacher caught me and we had a small talk. She was not angry, only disappointed. I received a zero on that quiz, which does not bother me a lot because it was only out of 10 points.

The problem is, I looked at my mother’s email and my Chemistry teacher sent her a letter stating that she is forwarding my actions to the office and it will be in my academic file.

Will colleges not accept me now? I was planning to apply to Harvard, my chances aren’t high but I wanted to try. I was so devoted to it. Now, I guess my chances are even lower, maybe I don’t even have a chance at this point. I regret it so bad. Should I talk to my counselor because, I have friends who got suspended for drinking and they were suppose to be suspended for a month. They were only suspended for two weeks and had to go to a church discipline class if they pay $75. From what they have told me was that the drinking is out of their record. How did money even get involved? Is getting drunk at a high school dance less than getting noticed for academic dishonesty? I don’t know what do, I believe it’s not possible to get it off my record. Are colleges going to neglect me?
