<p>It would be a problem for sure. What you need to do is to contact the UCs you applied and tell them you failed a class. Some may let you retake it in summer but some may not.</p>
<p>I meant the summer not directly before transferring but the one before. So I plan on transferring in the fall 2013. So would it make a difference if I took statistics in the fall 2012 as opposed to the summer 2012?</p>
<p>schools usually do not start look at your application until the January update on the UC application. It is safe to say that it does not really matters if you take at summer or fall. The admissions office will see grads up to fall semester. Summer math courses are fast paced, makes it harder to remember everything in a short time. If you find you have difficulties on your previous statistics course, I suggest you to take it on Fall.</p>
