Academic GPA

I've had straight A's throughout my freshman year. I'm currently a sophomore right now and I have all A's except in my pre-calculus honors class (fall semester). I have a C and this is obviously my first time receiving a letter grade lower than an A. I've been taking all honors and AP classes. Will one C on my transcript impact my chances to a dream college? My dream school is Georgetown University, but my most ideal goals are George Washington University, UC Berkeley, and Swarthmore College.

I want to be a poli-sci or int'l relations major, so I was wondering if my grade in a class that does not necessarily relate to my major will debase my chances.

I'm involved in many extracurricular activities including 8 clubs (currently holding 4 board positions, one being the president), I've played the cello for nearly 10 years (orchestras, scholarships, community service, opportunities to play at astounding halls, etc. via cello-playing) , I have over 150 community service hours, I have been involved with Model United Nations (several awards), I have been involved with ASB/leadership, and I was an intern at a non-profit organization last year.

Thank you!

in reality it will barely, barely affect your gpa, but it’s still a c so it will look odd on your transcript
