Hi, I’m confused about what exactly you can put in the Academic Honor section of the common app. If I was published in a magazine does that count, or is that extra curricular? What are other ideas for academic honors?
Some examples below:
National Merit finalist or National Merit Semifinalist, National Merit Commended.
AP Scholar (or National AP Scholar, AP Scholar with honor, distinction etc)
State Scholar
National or International Math/Science Olympiad competition winner, finalist etc
Writing Competition winner
Intel Science Talent Search
Siemens Competition
Google Science Fair
Also, High Honor/Honor Roll is a good thing to include if your school does it.
