"Academic Honors"?

I just downloded the common application (HS junior here) and I noticed the section "Academic Honors." I did not make NMSF and all I can think of now to list is National Honor Society. What other Academic Honors did your students list? And are there any that I could get between now and next fall?

honor roll, etc? any other honor societies? D won awards for her scores on Nation'l German tests---does that apply? I assume any other "tests", like AIME, etc. also apply.

NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor society, Community Service awards and I put all my band awards here(all region, state, solo/ensemble, etc.)

The College Board AP awards are also nice to put down - as a junior you will probably be taking AP's this year. You can check the college board website and check what awards you're likely to receive. You might also research what types of awards your school gives out to juniors this spring, although school awards are not considered that helpful. My D won debating and writing awards. Do brainstorm - at first she thought she had none and then they started to occur to her. You're very smart to be looking at common ap early. Best of luck!

Okay, this is helpful. Honor roll for sure (usually the All A Honor Roll, except for that semester I had trig and physics). And I have lots of band awards too (State Honor Band).

mammall: Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the AP awards. I am taking two AP tests this year. Actually it's a combination of smart and maybe a little lazy--I have to write an essay for an application to a summer program and so I thought I'd see what topics I'll have to write about for the college applications.
