<p>OK, so this academic index thingy is really starting to bug me, mainly because I'm pretty sure I can't get my counselor to put my rank on my transcript. My school says it doesn't rank but I'm probably 2 or 3 out of 750.
I did some runs on the calculator and putting rank #3 and top 10% is a difference between 231 and 217!!!
If I can convince my counselor to put top 1% at least, will colleges look at that and enter my rank as #7 (for worst case scenario) or will they still use top 10%?</p>
