Perhaps this has been covered in another post, but I can't find it.

In Michelle Hernandez's book "A is for Admissions", and the calculator on CC, there is a formula for Academic Index (AI) used by Ivys. That formula was based on the old SAT when competitive colleges wanted the SAT I plus 3 SAT II's.

I'm interested in how the standardized testing component of the AI changed in light of the new SAT.

The old formula was (2/3 standardized testing + 1/3 ClassRank or substitute). In what follows, I'm referring to only the standardized testing component.
For the standardized testing component, it was 1/2 SAT I + 1/2 SAT II. This amounted to

1/4 SAT Math
1/4 SAT CR
1/6 or each of three SAT II's.

I'm curious to understand how it's calculated now. There are several possibilities, and some schools still required 3 SAT II's.

One possibility for schools that required 2 SAT II's are
1/6 SAT Math
1/6 SAT CR
1/6 SAT Writing
1/4 First SAT II
1/4 Second SAT II

Another possibility is to replace one of the SAT II's with the SAT Writing
1/4 SAT Math
1/4 SAT CR
1/6 SAT Writing
1/6 First SAT II
1/6 Second SAT II

A third possibility for schools that still required 3 SAT II's is to just ignore the writing.

Anybody have some thoughts?
